Twilight Bilbao and Odense receive DarkSky certification

Twilight in the Bilbao and Odense versions has received DarkSky certification, an important recognition in the fight against light pollution and the protection of the night sky. Light pollution deprives people of the wonder of a starry sky, disrupts the lives of nocturnal animals, and creates glare in cities, altering their natural environment.

DarkSky certification confirms that Twilight Bilbao and Twilight Odense minimise glare and excessive lighting by avoiding upward scattering and reducing short wavelength blue light in the evening hours. The LED technology and integrated DALI control system enable responsive lighting that adjusts light levels based on the presence of pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles, increasing brightness only when necessary to make our cities safer and more sustainable.
